The SNYC - dedicated to youth!

The Swiss National Youth Council SNYC is the umbrella organization of youth organizations in Switzerland. Our mission is to generate possibilities for young people to participate in society as a whole and to develop into socially conscious, active citizens.

In everyday life

Youth is full of potential - lets make sure it's fulfilled!
Together with our 65 member organizations, we give young people opportunities to invest their energy and enthusiasm the way they see fit - for political, social or ecological issues, as members of a youth organization or as a participant in one of the SNYC's or a member's project. We'll gladly help youth and their parents to find the right offer for them.

In politics:

The SNYC is represented in the most important committees as an expert on youth policy. We work both on a cantonal and national level, always putting emphasis on youth participation. We offer advisory opinions to relevant policy projects in the interest of the young generation - whether it's in favor of a paid youth leave for volunteer work or for measures against youth unemployment.

In public:

As representative of roughly half a million young people, we believe it is our role to show the public what issues youth care about, what values they believe in and what they contribute to society. By working with both traditional and new media, we try to move youth into the spotlight!
